Families
Photo & media consent policy
We never share a young person's image without written permission from a parent or guardian.
Our policy
- Written consent first. We only photograph, film, or record a participant for public use when a parent or legal guardian has signed a consent form. Youth 18 and older may sign for themselves.
- Opt-in, not opt-out. No form means no public photos. Families choose exactly which uses they allow.
- Youth have a say. Any young person can ask not to be photographed on a given day, and we'll respect that.
- No identifying details. We don't post full names, schools, or locations with a child's image. We never share disability, diagnosis, or behavioral health information.
- Change your mind anytime. Families can withdraw consent by emailing us. We'll stop new uses and remove images from our website and social accounts that we control. Printed materials already distributed can't be recalled.
- Secure storage. Photos and videos are kept in accounts controlled by NLYC/KITL and are not sold.
